Mayor Anthony Copeland and the East Chicago Health Department invite residents to Stay Safe, Get Tested.
The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), in collaboration with the East Chicago Health Department and Indiana National Guard, will hold a drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinic for individuals who have symptoms next week at East Chicago Central High School.
Testing will be held on May 4th and 5th from 9am -6pm at Central High School in the parking lot. More details will follow so check back on this same post. It will be updated.

East Chicago Central High School 1100 W Columbus Dr. East Chicago, IN 46312. Enter off of Indianapolis Blvd. near MacArthur Golf Course.
Participants should bring the following:
Driver’s license or another state-issued identification card.
Essential Worker ID from employer Major utility bill if no ID is available
Only symptomatic individuals will be tested. Tests will be conducted as long as supplies last and will be limited to one individual per vehicle.
The testing is open to symptomatic healthcare workers, first responders or essential workers, individuals who have symptoms and are in a high-risk category due to age, weight or underlying health conditions, and those who live in the same residence as one of the priority categories.
The Food Bank of NWI will be giving out food on May 4th & 5th from 12pm - 1pm.
