URGENT!!!

In recognition of city employees hard work and dedication, Mayor Anthony Copeland has declared; 
Friday October 9, 2026 As Employee Appreciation Day

We apologize for any inconvenience this closing has created for you. The office will re-open Monday, October 12, 2026.
The walking gate into the beach remains open.  The Gas Dock at the Marina will also be closed on Friday October 9th and will re-open on Saturday October 10th for its regular hours 8am to 3pm.

full access to Jeorse Park Beach OFFICIALLY closed 

september 30, 2026.  for now you can park outside the parking lot and walk into the first gate to walk the beach during daylight hours only. the gate will be locked at dusk. 

  • NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY, SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    • NO JUMPING OFF OF ROCKS AT BREAK WALL


BEACH ACCESS THROUGH THE beach PARKING LOT IS OFFICIally open 

MAY 22nd THrough sEPTEMBER 13TH  


IT IS MANDATORY TO VACATE ENTIRE BEACH PREMISES DURING LIGHTENING STORMS.

Beach access is typically unlocked 10am to 7pm.  We reserve the right to tow or lock your car in until the next open day if you stay beyond 7pm.  

There is a single walking gate that is unlocked for you to walk out if your car gets locked in.  It is on the corner of the lot past the large stage.  Call an Uber or a Friend for a ride.  If the police don't tow it you can come pick up your car the next morning  we open at 10am. 

TENTATIVE DATES THAT BEACH ACCESS WILL BE CLOSED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC 

Annual FUSIC Fest potential dates of July 31, August 1 and 2.  Access will be closed 24 hours per day from set up to breakdown July 29 through August 3.  

Splash Pad Policy and Hours of Operation

TENTATIVE OPEN DATE JUNE 1 through 15- based on temps being above 75 degrees.

Splash Pad may be closed at any time due to inclement weather, maintenance, operational concerns or lack of staff.  

Splash Pad typically opens in mid to late June with warmer temps. Runs periodically on the half hour starting at 12 noon until 6 pm.  We do not run the water non stop and if temps are not above 75 degrees.  There also needs to be at least 5 or 6 children interested in going into the SPLASH PAD.  The slpash pad IS  NOT ofr older children or adults other than those accompanying their children.
